With Meet Magento taking place across cities like New York, the Netherlands, Florida, and Malaysia, 2025 marked a milestone as Meet Magento Philippines officially launched. The goal was to extend the global Meet Magento brand while giving it a distinct Philippine identity. To bring this to life, a full suite of assets was created for the November 19, 2025 event, including socials, website, email campaigns, and print collaterals.

The challenge was balancing global recognition with local relevance. The visual identity needed to feel unmistakably Meet Magento, while introducing a Philippine character that felt authentic and intentional. Every design decision supported the event’s core purpose: creating a space for the Magento and Adobe Commerce community to connect, exchange knowledge, and push the ecosystem forward together.

We wanted a visual language that felt bold yet approachable, a reflection of modern Filipino life. The colours were inspired by jeepneys, while brutalist shapes gave a contemporary edge. Icons drawn from local culture celebrate diversity, and neon accents bring a confident, energetic touch—creating a design that’s unmistakably Philippine, while staying true to the global Meet Magento identity.

The website embraced brutalist layouts, giving it a distinctive edge compared to typical event pages. Every detail was designed to stand out, reflecting the same care and energy we put into building the community it would host. It wasn’t just about visuals—it was about creating an experience that felt both bold and welcoming.

Event IDs were designed in different colours to reflect each participant’s type of involvement. We also introduced cubes inspired by our icon shapes, adding depth and cohesion to the event space. Branding was carried throughout the venue, creating a consistent, immersive experience that extended beyond screens and into the physical environment.

On November 19, the brand came alive. Attendees engaged with the event in every way—collecting merch as proof of participation, snapping photos in branded areas, exploring animations and videos that showcased MMPH’s identity, and enjoying the photobooth. Every detail contributed to an immersive, all-around brand experience that reflected both the global Meet Magento spirit and a proudly Filipino identity.

From concept to execution, I led the team in launching the inaugural Meet Magento Philippines—an event set to become an annual tradition. It was an invaluable experience, not just in bringing the brand to life, but in learning what worked, what could be improved, and how to elevate the event even further in the future.
